John Estabrooks, Lead Pastor

John (Jennifer) joined our staff in October 2021, and has loved getting to know - and be known - by the people of Bonavista Church. He has a heart for community engagement, and is eager to see the people of God live the Way of Jesus in such a way that their lives speak louder than the rhetoric of our day. He is fond of hearing life stories - especially over coffee, sushi, or something with some heat - and if you need a first baseman, someone to hold your baby or watch football with, he’s your guy.

Justin Fox, Associate Pastor

Justin loves that he’s apart of shepherding our church community toward hearing the word of God and living it out. He previously worked with teenagers with mental health concerns and earned an MA in Leadership & Ministry at Ambrose Seminary. Amidst keeping pace with his energetic wife, Jessica, and two kids he enjoys camping, CrossFit, and trying to read and laugh more than he scrolls.

Noella Koop, Director of Children’s Ministry

Noella (Malcolm) loves kids and their families. As Kids Ministry Coordinator she gets to laugh and learn along with the kids and is excited to watch them grow in their relationship with God.

Peter & Danielle Hill, Directors of Worship

Peter & Danielle have been involved in worship and music ministry since they were teenagers. They have a heart to see people offer their talents as an act of worship to our King, and love to encourage the church. They will always be fierce cheerleaders as they journey with individuals willing to step a little outside their comfort zone - that’s where amazing things happen!

Rebecca Cardoso, Church Administrator (Maternity Leave)

Rebecca joined the Bonavista team in March 2025 and plays a key role in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. She supports both the church staff and community with a can-do attitude and a heart for service. Rebecca holds a Business degree from Mount Royal University and loves finding ways to blend her creativity with her business skills. Outside of work, she’s actively involved with the Worship team at her home church. With her warm personality and organized approach, Rebecca is always ready to lend a hand and help keep everything on track.

She is passionate about creating organized, efficient systems that support the mission of the church and allow ministry leaders to focus on what matters most—serving the community and sharing God’s love. She feels it is a blessing to use her skills in a place where faith and purpose come together.
