At Bonavista Church, we offer many ways in which to grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ. Our goal is to become a community where each and every person uses their spiritual gift in order to move people from sin into a life-saving relationship with Christ, and then to grow into spiritual maturity. Equipping is part of that journey - providing the tools we need in order to fulfill our Great Commission: to make disciples.

1. ALPHA

Duration: 13 weeks. Starts on Wednesday Febuary 17_th. Leader, Lois Tessari tessaril@telusplanert.net

Description: The evening includes dessert, video teaching and small group discussion around important questions like: Is Christianity relevant in today's society? Who was Jesus? Is the Bible true? It provides a place to discuss your thoughts, questions and fears as you search for truth and meaning in life.

Target Audience: This course is particularly geared toward those who have questions about Christianity or are new to the faith. It provides a good grounding in the basics of Christianity for any believer.

2. GOING ON

3. ALPHA SPANISH

4. BAPTISM

Duration: 3 weeks

Description: In the Baptism class, you will learn what the Bible teaches about baptism and its importance, as well as receive guidance in how to share the story of how you came to faith. The course culminates with participants being baptised during a Sunday morning worship service.

Target Audience: When people believe/receive Christ, they need to express their faith to the world and show their commitment to live a changed life. Therefore, this is a primary step of identification for all believers.

5. MEMBERSHIP to BEMC

Duration: 3 weeks

Description: This short course introduces and explains the beliefs and practices of Bonavista Evangelical Missionary Church (BEMC).

Target Audience: Anyone who wishes to be identified with BEMC should join this group. Believers who wish to commit their support and accountability to the local church can go through the process of joining the church at the end of the course.
