Bonavista Church is a place where we are committed to becoming the sacred community God has called us to be - a place where people experience the life transforming power of Jesus Christ!

In our world this dream of community has almost been lost - but it hangs on by a thread of hope. Jesus has become that tangible thread of hope. He is that hope that can restore our communion with God and so restore the Sacred Community where people can come together in communion with God.

Can you begin to imagine what would happen if the church really became the church? There is nothing like the local church when the church is working right. Some incredible things begin to happen.

Men begin to love their wives the way they were meant to.

Women feel like they have freedom to be who God called them to be.

Children know what it is to be disciplined and affirmed.

The weak are given a place to find strength.

The strong are given a place to serve.

The frustrated find purpose.

The angry find peace.

Marriages begin to heal.

The suffering experience comfort.

The hungry are fed.

The prisoners find grace.

Politicians are held up in prayer.

Prayer rises up in the hearts of men and women.

The word of God soaks into the minds of people who have been left wounded by the foolishness of our world.

This is what happens when the church becomes the church - life transformation takes place! God has burned this dream on our hearts here at Bonavista church - that we would see life transformation happening every week as a direct result of the ministry of this church.
